the Story
Daniel Esteve
After studying flute, singing, dance (modern jazz, tap) and Dramatic Art, he sings a few years in various formations (Ensemble Vocal Michel Piquemal, Jeunes Solistes de Paris, TNP Chaillot and Opéra-Comique under the guidance of Jérôme Savary...) and then heads for the staging of musical shows.
First choreographer with Laurence Dale, he takes part in Ariadne auf Naxos by Richard Strauss (Monaco and Liège), Opera seria by Gassmann, Les Contes d'Hoffmann by Offenbach, L'Heure Espagnole, by Ravel (National Reisopera d'Enschede Netherlands)...
As a director, he stages La Route Fleurie by Lopez (Opéras d'Avignon et Toulon), La Voix Humaine by Poulenc, Paillasse by Leoncavallo, Don quichotte by Massenet (Nuits d'été de Villebois). He wrote several shows for La Compagnie de l'Arène, founded in 2007 ranging from medieval music to musical (Chroniques Cubaines, Komma, La Folie du Diable...).
In 2011, he wrote and created « De Phare en Phare, un amour d'estuaire » for the celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the Lighthouse of Cordouan for which he receives the Prize of the City of Royan by the Academy of Saintonge. In recent years, he has directed Opera seria by Gassmann, Les fêtes Vénitiennes by Campra, the musical Cabaret by Kander and Ebb (Geneva, Budapest, Neuchâtel), L'Étoile, by Chabrier (Boulogne-Billancourt). He also teaches dramatic art to singers, notably at the HEM in Geneva.

March 2017: First performances of « Komma » Daniel Estève and Mathieu Debordes after a three-month residency at the Lycée Technique l'Atlantique in Royan, a residence supported by Region Aquitaine.
January 2006-January 2018: The « Compagnie de l’Arène » settle in Poitou-Charentes where it will be agreed and intervene in two main territories (Pays Royannais and CDC Horte and Lavalette). 10 years of Festival at the Château de Villebois, Drama school in semi-rural setting, Adult amateur choir, many creations in places as diverse as museums, Romanesque churches, castle courses and rooms revisited, priories... Creations in high school, regular interventions in school with creations of shows with high school students, college students, but also ULIS classes.
April 2004-January 2011: Choreographer in various opera houses in France and abroad: Opera Royal de Wallonie, Opera de Monte-Carlo, Nationale Reisopera d'Enschede, Opera Trionfo d'Amsterdam, Operas de Metz, Avignon, Toulon...
